Visit some of the community projects around Lake Bunyonyi, which encourage community development and environmental conservation through the practice of responsible tourism and philanthropy. Visitors and guests at Bunyonyi Safaris Resort are given the opportunity to volunteer their time and skills in various ongoing community projects, or encouraged to simply visit and experience the lives of the local children and families who live by Lake Bunyonyi.

All profits from this tour will be donated to a community project of your choice at Bunyonyi Safaris Foundation.

Visit the various BSR Foundation projects included organic vegetable farming, piggery and chicken farming, Bee keeping & honey production, tea & coffee plantation, crayfish & fresh water fish farming, tree planting and the newly established Bunyonyi Safaris Academy, a first of its kind education center in the region. You will get a chance to meet with the locals who are involved in these projects, learn about their struggles, and the ways they have overcome them, as well as areas for improvement and support. Depending on the duration of your stay at Lake Bunyonyi, you may volunteer to assist on a project of your interest or expertise or simply make a personal donation. All funds raised through our community tours go towards supporting the community projects.
