Day 1:  Arrival

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport where you will be picked up   transferred to your place of accommodation. Dinner & overnight at Cassia Lodge


Day 2:   White Rhinos and Murchison Falls National Park

Breakfast and then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and do a short guided walk. White Rhinos are not quite aggressive and the experience of walking by their side is quite breathtaking. We shall proceed to Masindi Hotel for lunch and afterwards proceed to Murchison Falls National Park and head to the Top of the Falls of the Great River Nile. Dinner & overnight at Paraa Safari lodge or Fort Murchison Lodge
 

Day 3:  Game drives & boat cruise

After an early breakfast game drive begins at 7:00 am across the Nile by ferry. The beauty of the Nile takes centre stage here. You will come across herds of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, and several bird species. Have lunch and later embark on a boat cruise in the afternoon to the bottom of the falls where you will come across pools of hippos, and toothsome crocodiles Return to the lodge later. Dinner & overnight at Paraa Safari lodge or Fort Murchison Lodge


Day 4:  Kibale National Park

Breakfast and then drive to Fort Portal targeting Kibale Forest National Park through the magnificent views of the Blue mountains in Congo, and make a stopover at the top of the plateau to view the scenic blue stretch of Lake Albert. Proceed to Hoima and make a stopover for refreshment. Kibale National Park has the highest diversity of primates and of interest are the chimpanzees. Dinner and overnight Isunga Lodge/Lake Nkuruba Nature Reserve


Day 5: Chimp trekking

Breakfast and go to the park headquarters at 8:00am. Get the introduction from the park warden and join a group and begin your adventure to meet our closest relatives the “Chimpanzees”. You might come across some primates like Black and white Colobus, Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Birds, butterfly among others. Later return and proceed to have lunch. After lunch we shall drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park targeting an evening boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel adjoining Lakes George and Edward. Afterwards check in our accommodation. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Bush Lodge


Day 6:  Game drives - QENP

After an early breakfast go for a game drive in Kasenyi plains to try to catch the big cats looking for an early morning meal in Uganda kob breeding areaand drive to Bwindi impenetrable National Park with a stopover at the Ishasha plains for a possible sighting of a tree climbing lion. Arrive at Bwindi. Dinner and overnight at Bakiga Lodge/Rushaga Lodge/Buhoma Community Rest Camp depending on the group you are trekking.

 
 

Day 7: Gorilla trekking

An early start as we head for the highlight of this tour. We shall head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

It is the richest forest in Uganda in terms of number of plant species. Also home to half of the population of the critically endangered mountain Gorillas in the world and was gazetted in 1991.

We shall do briefing at the Park headquarters and then beginning the trekking expedition. The beauty of the forest is breathtaking with the steeply forested landscapes. Tracking these incredible primates varies according to the their movement. Once sighted you will be allowed an hour with them. Bear in mind few people leave without being amazed by this gentle giants.Afterwards drive to Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner & Overnight at Bunyonyi Safaris Resort


Day 8: Departure

After breakfast either long drive to Entebbe or a short drive to Kigali depending on your flight ticket.

What’s included: 4 x 4 vehicle, driver/guide, fuel and service fee, gorilla permit, chimpanzee permit all activities unless labelled optional, bottled water.

What’s excluded: flights, additional accommodation before or end of the tour, plus personal items.

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport where you will be picked up   transferred to your place of accommodation. Dinner & overnight at Cassia Lodge


Day 2: Source of the Nile – Mt. Elgon

Breakfast and then drive to Jinja where we shall visit the source of the Great River Nile and do a boat cruise. Afterwards drive to Mbale of which on the way you will be fascinated by the landscape. Overnight at Mbale Resort Hotel/Sipi River Lodge


Day 3, 4, 5 and 6: Mt. Elgon Hike

Breakfast and then take on the challenge of climbing the World’s largest mountain caldera. It will be a relatively steep climb to Wagagai peak. It stands at 4321 meters. Overnight at Mbale Resort Hotel/Sipi River Lodge


Day 7: Transfer to Kidepo National Park

Breakfast and then drive to Kidepo National Park passin by the scenic Mt. Moroto arriving late. Dinner & overnight at Kidepo Savannah Lodge/UWA bandas


Day 8: Game drive

Breakfast and the game drive to see the lions, elephants, giraffes, antelope species among others. Return have lunch and the visit the communities. Dinner & overnight at Kidepo Savannah Lodge/UWA bandas


Day 9: Community visit

Leisurely breakfast and then visit the communities. The tribes called the “ Karamajong Warriors” Famously known for their love of cattle. We will visit their “ Manyatta’’ and see their life style they are recognized by the engravings which are on the facial skin and are famous for their traditional dances. Dinner & overnight a Kidepo Savannah Lodge/Uganda Wildlife Authority Bandas


Day 10: Murchison Falls

Drive to Murchison Falls after breakfast. Arrive late afternoon and check in. Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/Fort Murchison Lodge

Day 16: Lake Bunyonyi

Proceed to Lake Bunyonyi for the much needed relaxation. Here we shall swim and also go island hopping, visiting the communities and hiking. Overnight at Bunyonyi Safaris Resort


Day 17: Lake Mburo National Park:

Leisurely breakfast and then drive to Lake Mburo National Park, do a short game drive and later do an afternoon boat cruise. Overnight at Rwakobo Rock/Eagles Nest


Day 18: Nature Walk – Lake Mburo & Community

Breakfast and embark on a nature walk in the park with a park ranger. Possibilities of sighting a hyena while on foot. In the afternoon visit a local pastoralist community known as the Bahima with their long horned cattle. Overnight at Rwakobo Rock/Eagles Nest


Day 19: Kampala

Relaxed morning and drive to Kampala. Arrive and relax off the fatigue. Overnight at Cassia Lodge


Day 20: Kampala City Tour

Leisurely breakfast and the go for a Kampala City Tour where we shall go to the National Museum, Bahai Temple, National Craft Market, Gaddafi Mosque. Overnight at Cassia Lodge


Day 21: Departure

Relaxed breakfast and then drive to Entebbe. Tour the Entebbe Botanical Gardens and later drive to Airport for end of tour.
